I made a  cane of just butterfly wings, thinking that I could cut two wings and add a body.  It work pretty good.  The wings look nice.  I put three butterflies on the barrette holder that I was making.  They look really nice.  They have more dimension then the flower canes that I used with them but I like the look.  I am going to try working with butterflies both by just making the wings and also practice making a traditional cane.

I got some alcohol inks the other day.  (They where on sale).  I am planning on playing with them this coming week.  I have some techniques that use them that I want to try.  I have heard that the alcohol inks hold their color better.  It will be interesting to see how things work out.  I know that I need to careful while using the inks, or I might get colored as well.

Tomorrow, I plan on getting pictures of the barrette holders and posting them.  I have two made that I will be putting up for sale soon.  I really like the plans and they are easy to make.  I will also be making more soon.
