I am working on trying to increase traffic to my blog. More traffic means more people see what I create and hopefully more sales. I have been having fun with my blog so I thought why not make it do some of the work for me. We shall see what happens.
My husband also has a number of blogs. I use some of the techniques that he has but I also want to try some of my own. The first technique is to get my blog known. I use it for doing posts in forums to show other polymer clayers what I am doing. I have seen an increase in traffic form that. My husband suggested getting links out there to my blog. I found a link to my store site on a blog site in Hebrew. I have a lot of traffic from that link, which is way cool. Now, I want to find what the link says. I think that I will e-mail the artist that put the link on her sight and thank her first for doing so and then asking her to translate it for me. I am excited that some one though enough of my site to even do a link to it.
I spent a lot of time this weekend trying to come up with names for the barrettes on my website. It is actually harder then one might think. I try to make them unique but sometimes that is really hard. I want the names to describe the barrette but also be catchy enough to either remember or make people want to look closer. I also want to try to have the names give me a picture of which barrette it is. That can be tough.
I have found though that I can get in a “groove” about naming and then things go easily. I hope that I can find that groove more often.
I am going to working on naming all of my barrettes that are currently on the website tomorrow. I am trying to get excited about it. We shall see how well I do!
