A couple of weeks ago I got some flower canes and a dragonfly cane off of e-bay.  They where made by Elaine of the Claychicks.  I finally got inspired to use them to create a barrette.

I really like how it turned out.  I am totally in love with the cute little dragonfly!

Monday I got the newest addition of Jewelry Crafts magazine.  In it was a for “Glow Caned Bracelet”.  I worked Monday and Tuesday on conditioning some old blocks of Fimo (see Tricks on Conditioning Polymer Clay).  I really like the canes that I made using this technique.  I have made some square beads, swirled lentils, and round beads out of the scrapes.  I also made this really cool barrette from one of the canes.

The other canes is different then these one but just as pretty.  I am thinking of covering a glass vase with slices of both canes.
